As DevOps Operation Engineer - Big Data you are responsible for the smooth, functional and technical operation of our Big Data applications.
- You are the first contact person for the analysis of new systems and the integration of new Big Data applications into the existing system landscape.
- You work closely with your DevOps software engineer colleagues, define operational requirements and optimise processes.
- You advise our specialist departments on issues relating to the software lifecycle.
- You accompany the team during the transfer of the software into live operation and are responsible for configuration, incident and problem management.
- You keep your knowledge up-to-date and familiarise yourself with new and complex technologies.

Do you have a technical degree such as computer science or a comparable education? Are you interested in becoming part of our Big Data & Artificial Intelligence department and taking responsibility for the operation of Big Data applications? - You have experience in the area of IT operations (monitoring & alerting) as well as with applications based on Linux or Windows and ideally Big Data knowledge (such as Hadoop, Kafka, Hive, Cassandra or Kubernetes).
- You are familiar with the definition and optimisation of technical business processes.
- You have good SQL knowledge and sound scripting skills (such as bash, Python, Perl).
- You are an organisational talent, maintain an overview in the event of malfunctions and initiate appropriate troubleshooting measures with confidence.
- You are curious, learn quickly and enjoy trying out new technologies.
